I am an artist, freelance illustrator and web designer currently based in Cambridge, UK. I graduated with a BA(Hons) in graphic design and illustration from the Norwich School of Art in the early 90's and have since gone on to carve a varied career as a freelance web designer, marketing consultant and commercial artist for individuals and small businesses.
My personal artwork explores the theme of memories and nostalgia, using mixed media techniques to create ephemeral landscapes inspired by poetry, history and music. I also love surface pattern and textiles, using my own illustraions to cover handmade notebooks that can be found in my shop.
In 2008 myself and a small group of fellow designers started an online magazine www.ukhandmade.co.uk to support and promote the increasing number of designer / makers that set up their own creative businesses in the UK. Four years later we now have over 4500 members and over 12000 followers who read our daily articles and quarterly digital magazine.
My latest project is the Cambridge Creative Network to bring together the wealth of creative talent that resides within my own local area.
